The squirrels here are black! Liz said they are very bold, too. They'll hop right up on the picnic table while you're eating to beg for food. This one looks cute, though...he posed for the picture.
OK, i COULDN'T RESIST. As you know by now, the black is simply a recessive strai of the gray squirrel, but they are very neat which is why I had one complete specimin frozen in my freezer for two years while he was waiting to get it stuffed.
