Christmas Lily

Lily is ten months old today!

Yesterday, we took her to see Santa. She tried to eat his beard, but he appeared nonplussed. As Santa's go...he was kind of a lump, he really didn't participate except to hold on to the baby, and he didn't speak at all, and you can see by the picture that he really wasn't smiling with his eyes. Lily was in awe of the whole mall experience, though. She didn't know where to look, so she looked everywhere! The photographer snapped two pictures, the one below, and one where Lily was looking down and away. She actually asked me which one we wanted. (For the low value price of $12.99--their "SUPER VALUE" package was $45.99 - I'm in the WRONG business. I bet the photographer and Santa made more money yesterday than I make all year.)

We got a better picture of her at home in front of the Christmas tree!

Mall Santa's like that ought to be illegal... Search around, ask around for a "better" one for next year... Lily deserves so much better!

Janice Carty clued us in on your blog and now I have followed in your footsteps (thenelsonfamily1.blogspot.com). Our Sears here in K-town has a 'real' santa but the pictures are so much more expensive. The picture in front of the tree is georgous--she's georgous! Janice and I talk about you guys a lot..Alex and I have really enjoyed getting on here to read all about you guys and Lily.

Lily looked so good in front of the Tree because her Favority Aunt was holding her up...
