The Entertainer...

Lily has taken to wearing things on her hands and head that were not meant to be worn there.  She's wearing socks on her arms, pool floaties and bathing suits on her head, bags around her neck, and stuffing things in her shirt.  All we do is take pictures of her craziness so that we'll have it to show future boyfriends and at her wedding reception.

Liz shocked the heck out of me tonight...giving me tickets to see Madonna in October! The last time she came anywhere close to me was in 1990, but unfortunately, my college grade point average and blood alcohol level were both .9 and I had to go to summer school instead. The wait's been worth it though--I can't wait to go!

• 20 (inches lost in my waist)
• 5 (sizes I've gone down)
• 12 (pounds away from my high school graduation weight)
• 27 (pounds away from normal)
• 123 (current cholesterol level)
• 50 (minutes I can stay on the elliptical machine)
• 75 (target number of protein grams in a day)
• 5.5 (A1C level, was over 7.0)
• 100+ (target number of ounces of fluids in a day)
• 2 (number of times today I got "checked out")
• 40 (ounces of coffee I usually drink in a day [decaf])
• 0 (number of times I thought this surgery was a mistake)
• 37 (as of tomorrow, my age)
• 20 (the age I feel)

Summertime Rolls...

Here we go! Liz has started to decorate the baby with socially acceptable hair ornaments that ultimately oppress her entire gender. As you can see from the picture, Lily finds the practice abhorrent and retaliates by eating her toothbrush.

The "Whatever" Face. It means: "Sure, you're entertaining me, but let's face it, I'm still in control. Also, change my diaper."

WooHoo! I have all of these toys and I play with none of them. Just give me a box and bottle, baby!

But got these shots through the telescope. I don't think I've ever seen the sun with absolutely NO sunspots before. We were a little too far south for even the partial eclipse, but I'm sure other folks photographed it and we'll be able to see it later today...
