This Lily's Made For Walking

Due to the popularity of Lily's Husband Jack's video montages, we decided to create one of our own. This one chronicles the new talent Lily is exhibiting: WALKING! We will also need help from Jack's Dad to figure out how to turn the volume down in the videos we use so that just the song can be heard!

P.S. I wanted to use the song "Milkshake" but was vetoed by the financial director.

6 Month Gastric Update!

Well, it's been six months since the gastric bypass surgery, and I think, more than ever, that it's the best decision I've EVER made. I feel so much better now and I'm mad at myself for not doing this years ago. So many things have changed and can't believe what a difference there is in life now versus six months ago.

Some stats:
  • I've lost 135 pounds so far.
  • I have 65-70 pounds left to lose.
  • I've lost 14 inches in my waist.
  • I've gone from a 4X/5X shirt to a 1X/2X.
  • You can see my eyes when I smile.
  • I'm no longer Morbidly Obese.
  • The High Blood Pressure is gone.
  • The Diabetes is gone.
  • I can wear regular clothes from regular stores. (For instance, I bought a pair of jeans at Wal-Mart for $8. The same pair at the Big and Tall store would be $65.)
  • I can stay on the Elliptical Machine for 45 minutes. (I could go an hour if my foot didn't fall asleep.)
  • I fit in the seats at Movie Theaters and Auditoriums.
  • I'm no longer the biggest person in the room.
  • It's becoming apparent that I'll eventually need plastic surgery if I'm ever going to be a Chippendale's dancer. As it stands right now, I could be a Chippendale's Jiggler.
  • I feel normal, and I haven't felt like that in a long, long time.

Hippity, Hoppity, Easter's On It's Way...

Here's an Easter Preview: Lily gets Easter Presents in the mail from Nana TT and Paw. She especially LOVED her Dora Purse, and has yet to put it down. She's even slept with it, along with a Dora Yogurt Container that she refuses to let go of as well. Nana TT and Paw also gave Lily a Bunny from Build A Bear, which she loves, but when it says, "I Love You" she drops it and runs. Elmo has the same effect. She's good when they're quiet, but when the animals start talking--Lily's GONE!

Look Who's Walking!

Welcome to the world of Little Miss Into Everything. We thought we were tired when Lily was born and not sleeping...it's nothing compared to chasing her around the room constantly and cleaning up after all the messes she makes! We're exhausted!

BIG SNOW!

We had a big storm this weekend. The guy who plows our driveway had to put some of the snow in our front yard, as the pile at the street was getting too high!

Diva In Training

The diva wears her sunglasses indoors to shield her from the commonalities of a simple existence. (Sleep, Eat, Nap, Play, Dora, Repeat.)

The Diva decides that should she start feeding herself.

The Diva's life is already so difficult, she's even dramatic when she sleeps...

When The Diva crawls behind the couch and gets trapped, she knows that the preferred way out is to scream until a parent grabs her. Walking out on her own is NOT an option.

The Diva's newest trick is to take things she shouldn't have, run away, or try to cover the object with her body in hopes of keeping her parents from getting it.

Dilation Drama

I went to the eye doctor this week and he had to dilate my eyes. It looked kind of freaky I thought...

Hard Rock Lily

We went to see the frozen Niagara Falls today with our friends Keith and Whitney. Lily performed pretty much the whole time and even did a little dance. (See video below)
