We bought a new mattress this week, and it was delivered this morning. Guess who took immediate ownership? Kinda looks like a pat of baby on a biscuit bed, doesn't it?
Oh, and the bed is VERY tall--no problem for Liz, but I'm going to need a pole vault or a set of those doggie steps to get into it. As it stands now, I'm just running and hoping I leap high enough.

Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On...
Gonna take...a Sentimental Journey...
Lily took her mother and grandmother to Cape Cod last week to visit her Grandma's friend and Liz's Godmother, Bettyanne. They spent the whole time shopping and trying to break into the Kennedy Compound and catch Edward Kennedy in the nude.
It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.
Even after seven books, that is still my favorite Harry Potter quote in the entire series. (From the end of The Chamber of Secrets)
I have finished the seventh book and am both happier and sadder than I've ever been with this novel series. The seventh book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, is a masterpiece, so much so that I am devastated that the journey is over and that this world has hit its final stride. Without giving anything away, these final chapters were some of the most harrowing and touching in the series. I loved it. And I can't wait to start reading it again!

I'M ON AMAZON.COM!
I just discovered that I'm on Amazon.com! I do book reviews for this publishing company called Corwin Press, who publishes academic books. They excerpted a quote from the review I did on the book that's listed at Amazon. It's printed on the back cover and written on the Amazon page. You can see the quote HERE.

A Day of Firsts!
Lily slept in her big girl bed last night in HER bedroom AND she had her first bowl of cereal today! She enjoyed the cereal, which is good, because she needs the extra energy for all of the rolling around she's doing. This afternoon, she rolled from the middle of the room to the other side, then screamed because she doesn't like lying on her belly. She's so funny!
Happy Birthday to Liz!
Guess who's 35 today?
Happy Birthday to Liz,
Happy Birthday to Liz,
From Lily and Daddy,

Cotton Candy, Sweet To Go, Let Me See That Lily Roll!
Lily learned to roll over this week while we were down South! She rolled over the first time on July 4th, then did it again on July 5th. By Friday she had learned to free her arm out from underneath her body and hold her hand way up. She's a rolling machine now!
