LOST Issues...
"LOST" was kind of bland this week, but I have some concerns that I would like to voice.
1. There is an old record player, an old computer, but brand spanking new washing machines. Is this product placement or a plot surprise?
2. Why not let the Irish guy just be addicted to the heroin? What else does he have to do? Is the solution to take it all away from him? I don't know. I do know that it is awfully strange that Locke took it all away and instead of destroying it, put it in the gun cabinet for safekeeping. Strange?
3. Did Michael get kidnapped by the others while looking for Walt? Where is he? If he was kidnapped, why does it seem to have been swept under the rug?
4. All of the children have been kidnapped except for the baby, Aaron. What is the reason for not kidnapping him? They tried to kidnap him last year, but weren't successful.
5. If all of this is a social experiment, are each of the islanders just in various forms of Pavlovian conditioning? Is this a Brave New World? Is it the future or the present?
I love this show but I also hate it. I can't wait until next week.

TRAGEDY!
There was a gray hair in my beard this morning. Sure, I plucked that sucker right out (and it hurt like you wouldn't believe) but I'm afraid of it growing back. I'm on the hunt now for other gray hairs.
It makes me nauseous.

Last Holiday
Creatures
Garbage on the back porch?
Bad Idea.
There were lots of little tracks in the snow this morning and a BIG hole in the garbage bag we set out back. There was a least one skunk, two raccoons, and a rabbit. There is also a set of unidentified tracks which I think might be a cat, but the track was messed up and I couldn't identify it. The skunk also walked up onto the pool deck and had a look around, and at least one of the raccoons did a lap around the outside of the pool. I think it's high time we got the dogs back.

Pictures from Siobhan's First Birthday Party!
Here are some pictures from Siobhan's first birthday party on Thursday. Maureen's Aunt and Cousins came over with their families and we had a great time. Maureen made Lasagna that was out of this world good! (I wonder if there's any left that Adam hasn't eaten? Maybe we should go visit again!) Aunt Patty and Maureen's Cousins bought the baby a chair (see below) that she LOVED! Siobhan got toys and clothes and was even offered a fistful of cake. However, her major interest was the ceiling fan and the potato chips that we kept moving away from her. She also took quite a liking to a bow off of one of her presents. The baby got tired and went to bed before we had cake and ice cream, and spent the rest of our time talking about how quickly the year has passed!
Winter Returns!
It's Saturday morning and we are finally getting some snow...maybe an inch or two, but that's better than 60 degrees...as it was yesterday. As of right now, we have about a tenth of one inch...I'll take whatever I can get!

Happy Birthday Siobhan!
Siobhan is ONE YEAR OLD today! (Where did the year go?) We're going over to Maureen's on Thursday night for her party. I'll post pictures later this weekend.

What Gives?
The weather is absolutely NOT cooperating! We've been in the 40's and 50's lately with forecasts for 60 by Friday. I wonder if I can sue the Weather Channel for increasing my blood pressure? It has got to cool down again soon. I miss Winter!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We hope you have a wonderful 2006!
We've decided to replace our old resolution of "Take no prisoners" to our new one of "Trim Everything!" (Trim the fat, Trim our debt, Trim the grass and shrubs...etc.) We are also thinking of trimming our vast library of books, videos, and dvd's, so keep an eye on EBAY!
We raise a glass in honor of you all, and hope you have a spectacularly blessed New Year!
Below are some pictures from our Christmas visit down south!
