HAWT!

It was so HOT that I had to spell it HAWT! Idling in the sun did not fare well with the Equinox, the temperature gauge shot up while we were parked outside of Sonny's Real Pit BarBQ. The BarBQ was kind of spicy...made that's what raised the temps! (Oh, and the corn nuggets were SOOOOOOOOO good.)

We went down to see Uncle Terry and Aunt Diane and they tried to steal the baby! That was okay, though, as Barbara wanted to move into their house! There's a picture here of Barb in front of their fireplace, where she would be content to spend the rest of her life...

 

 

 

 

Old Friends...

We got to see a lot of our friends while we were in Kannapolis. We had a get-together and got to see several people that we used to work with, as well as neighbors and other friends. Lily, of course, put on a show and smiled for everyone!

Meeting the Fam...

We arrived down south tonight and Lily got to play with her Nana TT and Paw for the first time since she was born. She also got to meet her great grand Nana and great Papaw as well as her aunts Leigh and Liz. We will have MUCHO MANY MORE pictures as the week progresses...in the morning, her Uncle Adam will get to see her for the first time as well as her cousins Jacob and Corbin!

 

 

 

 

At Paula and Steve's

On the first leg of our trip down south, we stopped in Cleveland to see Paula and Steve's new house. It's HUGE! Fucillo Chevrolet HUGE! They kept talking about the wallpaper, but the inside is BEAUTIFUL! It makes me want a new house, or some money to fix up the one we have! We took a "Steve" tour of Cleveland and ate at a restaurant called "Lizard Lick's" or something like that. Anyhoo...we look forward to many more good times at Steve and Paula's Party Pad. By the way, did I mention that Lily is in LOVE with Steve? He mesmerized her with his skills...I think it's time a certain newly married couple had a bambino of their own...

 

 

 

 

"A Christmas Story" House

Back in 2004, I reported in December that the house from a Christmas Story was for sale. Well, the guy who bought it is having it renovated to look the way it did in the movie and has opened a museum across the street from it. While in Cleveland, Paula and Steve took us to see the house and we were able to take some pics of the outside. The Museum was closed, but we hope to go back and visit again later!
