Our friend Katie sent a link to a website that "photoshops" what you might look like after you've lost 10-50 pounds. I uploaded a picture of me now (well, about 8 pounds ago) and did it for 50 pounds more of weight loss, with the following result. It made me a little self-conscious of my current weight, but looks to be promising if I continue losing! (By the way, I've got 46 more pounds to go, which is a hell of lot more comforting than having 203 pounds to go!)

Liz's New Car

Well, car fever is in full effect at the Fisher's! We decided to trade Liz's old Equinox for a new one. We just put a lot of cash into the old one, and were expecting several big things over the summer that we would have to pay for (tires, brakes, etc.), so we traded it in for a new one with more features, that's a little bigger, and had just about the same payment with no money down. The only downside was three more years of car payments, but we don't have to deal with that right now!

All of this to go with Liz's new job, where she'll be traveling to different school systems in the area training their English/Language Arts teachers in new strategies to help move their students to higher achievements!

Mary and Gaynor

Liz's Aunt Mary (Doug's sister) and her friend Gaynor came to visit this week! Mary was here last year just before Paula's wedding, when Lily was only a couple of months old. Lily was a little more lively on this visit! We had a great time with them this week and were sorry to see them go. While they were here, they were able to do a lot of shopping and even went to Niagara Falls and rode the Maid of the Mist. (Something I haven't even done yet!) We look forward to seeing them again soon--and maybe going to England to visit them in the near future!

New Car!

With Liz's new job, we had to get a new car and this is what we bought: A Scion xD! It kind of looks like a mini-version of the Element we used to have.
