Lily and Siobhan

Playing with the Fridge Farm that Aunt Leigh gave me...I play with it EVERY DAY, and Mommy and Daddy forget it's on, and when they open the refrigerator it moos, snorts, or baas at them.

Lunar Eclipse

Even though it was 13 degrees, AND snowed in the middle of the event, I was able to get some pretty good shots of the eclipse tonight through the telescope. I especially like the last few pictures, where you can see the red hue of all of the reflected sunsets/sunrises around the rim of the Earth.

Cleveland Caucus

We traveled to Cleveland over the past couple of days to see Paula, Steve, Nic, and Joe. We used to work with Nic down in Kannapolis, and haven't seen her in years! Paula and she are both having babies within a month of each other, so we also had a meeting of the bellies. We also got to meet Nic's husband Joe. Below the pictures of us are more of Lily hamming it up at Paula and Steve's.

Oh, and it bears mentioning that a certain previously culinarily challenged dark headed female has incredible mashed potato skills. Most of you have heard previous kitchen shockers where "P" was involved...the "Spinach" incident and the "Banana Bread" incident are still fresh on my mind. Needless to say, marriage has been good for Chef Paula...based on the mashed potatoes alone, I'm ready for her to have her own show on the Food Network.

An Open Letter to Cal and Fran...

Dear Cal and Fran,

First, let me say that yes, Paula IS sober...it's hard to believe but it's true. We were able to talk her into dancing by saying that we WOULDN'T put it on the internet...she's still just as gullible as ever. We just wanted you to know what kind of mother she would be, holding her baby and jiggling all around. We were a little worried to let her hold Lily, but Steve was supervising and frankly, we're glad he's in the house--trustworthy soul he is. We knew you would want to see this. True, we weren't dancing to Clarence Carter, but hey, she's already pregnant.

Thought you'd like to know,

Mike, Liz, and Lily

STOMP!

We went to see STOMP! at Shea's Theater in Buffalo last night. We went as chaperones for our Band Students and took the whole group of 60+ kids out to eat dinner and then to the show!

Valentine Lily

Lily celebrated her second Valentine's Day with three different outfits, Dora the Explorer Books, and a new DVD. The top picture's outfit is from her Nana TT in the South, the next one is from her Aunt Fran, and the white one is from Mommy. Lily was not all that happy a camper changing clothes a dozen times!

Lily's First Birthday: The Pictures--More!

Lily + Hat = Not Happening in this century...

Lily's tres chic cake from Muscoreil's GOURMET bakery with the marginal "y" and Grocery Store like charm.

Mommy in a party hat.

Eric and Peyton (with Jean in the background.) Eric is Jean's son, and is our agricultural director, as he is the one who always comes to our rescue during natural disasters, like the tree that fell in our front yard!

Mother-in-laws with future spouses.

At first, this birthday cake seems a bit impractical, but the exact likeness of Jack throws Lily off for a moment, until she tastes the icing on his very realistic looking shoes.

Liz and Jack Scully...

My moobs wanted to party as well. I didn't invite them, but they came anyway.

Lily regards fire with trepidation.

Not sure what to do, Lily sizes up her personal cake.

Once she becomes more "hands-on," she starts to enjoy this cake-wielding freedom.

I'VE GOT PRESENTS!

Siobhan's in the bag...and Lily doesn't care. Doesn't that sound like a song?
