Fantasy Island
Lily and I went to Fantasy Island tonight and she tried some new rides!
She rode the teacups!
She drove her own jalopy car!
She rode a motorcycle!
We rode the train!
We went canoeing! And she paddled all by herself!
On the way home, we stopped at Beaver Island. (A beach on the shore of the Niagara River.)
Lily played in the water as the sun went down!
She destroyed some sand castles that were left from earlier in the day!
Then we were all tired out as the sun went down, and we headed home!

Lily's Half Birthday
Liz told Lily that today was her half-birthday, and Lily decided that there should be a celebration. We partied at the Scully's House tonight with a cookout and fishing. Lily had a blast!

Welcome to the World, Sister
Lily wrote a book for her little sister in Storybird and we had it printed as a surprise for Mommy. (She had a teensy little bit of help.) Lily told me what she wanted to say and then we came up with the rhyming words. She can even read the story all by herself. (Though we think she's still a bit of a mimic!)

Lily's Dance Recital
Lily has her dance recital tonight after her year of dance class. We had the dress rehearsal last night so that we could take pictures and video. The kids were really cute and Lily was really excited!

Some New Pics of Strawberry Princess
Liz had another sonogram this past week and we've got a few new pics. Things are progressing very well at the moment, though we have to have another sonogram at the end of June. We're hoping we will be able to have one of those 4D sonograms sometime in the near future!

Lily's Princess HouseWarming Tea...
Lily had a Princess Housewarming Tea today with the wonderful folks from the Make A Wish foundation, Ginny and Cheryl. They brought Lily some new furniture, curtains, and some new toys for her house. Lily hosted several of her friends for the afternoon of fun playing in the new house. Ginny and Cheryl also brought snacks and drinks and the girls (the princesses!) even got crowns to wear! We are so grateful for the generosity of the Make A Wish foundation and their commitment to those who have been on incredible journeys.
Lily is doing very well right now. We have a couple of peripheral issues that involve some physical therapy, but in general, she is happy and precocious and very excited about her new baby sister who arrives early in the Fall. She still wants to name the new baby Strawberry Princess.
Thank you so much to the folks at the Make A Wish foundation, especially Ginny and Cheryl, our wish grantors. (We're still talking about the cookies, by the way!) We'd also like to thank the guys that came to help put the Princess house together: Marty and his team of Princess House Experts. Lily has been in the house every single day since it was put up. The world is a better place because of people like you and we are eternally thankful to you for loving our daughter and granting her wish. She's OVER THE MOON!
Also, as a special aside, we found out this week that one of the guys that helped put up the Princess House is the boyfriend of Lily's physical therapist. Small world.

Lily's Princess House!
The wonderful folks from the Make A Wish Foundation came today to install Lily's new Princess house! She is beyond thrilled and is waiting patiently for a friend or two to come over tonight and play in the backyard! Lily has already asked about sleeping in her new house! Many thanks to Ginny and Cheryl and all the wonderful folks at Make A Wish, especially the guys that came and put Lily's new house together! Her dream came true! (Her words!)
