Where Did All The Time Go?

This is Anita and Brad Parker...friends from Kannapolis. We had Brad in the 6th grade and now he's going to a PROM! It makes Liz and I feel really proud but really old. Anita sent us pictures from the kids' prom and I just can't believe that these are the same kids! It seems like only yesterday...

(Also, Anita stayed up late with the kids and then cooked them all breakfast. There's got to be a mother of the year award in there somewhere!)

New Pics and Video...

Here are more pictures of the baby and a new video after her most recent bath. She is starting to sleep better at night and seems to be getting over her cold. (Though Liz and I are still sick...) She's really starting to smile when we talk to her now and looks at us (especially Liz) when we are around her. Her favorite things right now are: Dorothy's panties, the big wreath on our wall, and any ceiling fan. Those are the three main things that hold her attention. Fran and Cal (Paula's Parents) just came back from Wintering in Florida and came to meet Lily for the first time!

Sick Little Girl...

Lily has a cold...her first!

She's coughing, sneezing, and her eye is draining. She's also crying a lot and won't settle. We've been in the car, doing laps around the house in her carrier, flipping lights on and off, rocking with her, etc. Nothing works except laying her on her changing table so that she can see Dorothy's panties. She still laughs at that. She's been spending a lot of time on the changing table.

My parent's friends, the Oszlanyi's (I hope I spelled that right!) sent Lily this pretty pink blanket that they made by hand. Lily is VERY content underneath it!

Burgess Brunch!

Our friends, Kelly and Jim Burgess, were up visiting Kelly's parents for Easter with their one-year-old, Sam. (We used to work with Kelly at Kannapolis Middle School--she's the Assistant Principal now!) They got to see Lily and we got to see Sam for the first time. We had a nice time with a brunch made by Kelly's mom, Pat Chapin, and Lily was a VERY good girl the entire time!

Easter at Grandma's!

We spent Lily's First Easter and our first "White" Easter Sunday with Barb and Doug, along with Adam, Siobhan, Maureen, and Dolly.

HAPPY EASTER!

Well, I got my wish! We're having my first "White Easter" ever! Granted, we only have about a 1/2" of snow, but everything is white for the moment...

Lily was so excited she barely slept last night, and thus, her parents barely slept either. We asked the Easter Bunny for a good night's sleep, but he just laughed at us and hopped away.

...of a WHITE EASTER!

I've tried to experience White Halloween, had minimal luck with White Thanksgiving and White Christmas, White St. Patrick's has happened, and now it looks like White Easter is going to happen.

If only I could get it to snow in August on my birthday, all would be right with my world.
